Hey IG buddies, been awhile I know. 2020 forced me into a bit of an unexpected hiatus. Between the holidays and getting a new design job at a local college, there hasn't been much time for new art. As I've been trying to figure out the new balance between my jobs, relationships, and adventures I stepped away from social media to recenter myself and re-evaluate my priorities. Hopefully new art will be up for your viewing pleasure soon as I have two local art displays in the ne...ar future. In the meantime I've had a few solid adventures. Here's some shots of one from last week and it was pretty spicy. Muy Caliente. Due to the dangerous and technically difficult terrain the trail was officially closed. Understandable from the wet and extremely narrow cliff side trail that plummets into the ocean almost 100 feet below. There also happens to be a resident cougar in the area and we found some of it's handiwork from number of deer carcasses. Some of my favorite work is designing publications like annual reports. They get a bad rap for being dull to read and not visually appealing. However my distinctive approach using illustration, hand lettering, and handmade textures gives my designs a unique aesthetic while connecting to the audience in a more authentic and personal manner. It's been a rocky couple weeks since the fire and I've been having a difficult time focusing on creating new pieces.
