Recently we received more of our really sweet hand made puppets. These are made in Ontario and come in two styles. One style is made out of recycled pop bottle fabric and the other recycled wool sweaters! On our most recent order we also received some puppet making kits! So if you need a new activity to do with the kids...check them out! Really amazing.

We FINALLY received more baffles and hangers for our bird feeding stations! We're hoping that the supply will continue to flow, but we just don't know what the fall and winter season will bring. I first met Richard Mund at the Peterborough Garden Show when his beautiful pottery stopped me in my tracks! His style is free and colourfulexactly what I love! We now carry his plant nannies, soap dishes and flower frogs. Learn more about these on this episode.

We're now 7 months into COVID-related shutdowns and distancing. Please be sure to take care of yourself and others as we move towards winter.

Every couple of years we head to the Lake Huron area to camp or visit and attempt to see some of our artists who live and work in the area. This year we were able to visit two after camping for a few days at Pinery Provincial Park. First stop was to see April Gregory of The Salt Box Shoppe and to pick up some of her beautiful hand made rustic bird houses. These pieces of art are made from completely recycled materials. Old pieces of tin roof with paint that is flaking off, d...oor knobs, tree tapping spigots, hinges, forks, knivesall kinds of quirky things. The houses are also functional meaning that they can be opened for cleaning. Mount them on a 4 x 4 post in the centre of your garden for a beautiful unique focal piece. The bird family that gets to occupy it will be the envy of the bird neighbours. Next stop (and on the next episode) is a visit with Pottery Richard Mund.
