We miss you parkrunners and hope that you are all having a good summer, with many good runs, despite this funny (not funny haha) time. Here is the most recent update from parkrun headquarters in the UK. At this point, parkrun has been restarted in New Zealand. Current plans are to open an entire country back up once it is safe to do so, as opposed to individual sites. As always we will keep you updated as we learn more. We wish you all a safe and happy long weekend, and wi...sh that we were seeing you tomorrow. We look forward to when we can. The parkrun 3 (Leigh, Kati, and Doug) See more
Catchy name! If you miss parkrun as much as we do, take a look at this: https://blog.parkrun.com/uk/2020/06/10/notparkrun-is-here/
Today Saturday 13-Jun we had a total of 63 runners, walkers and joggers completing laps of our stunning lake (55 males and 8 females). It was great to see ever...yone embracing today’s theme of Lego, and getting into full costume. Great effort! There were no milestones celebrated today, however we did have an awesome 63 first timers. Unfortunately there was a technical error and none of the times were officially recorded, but we all enjoyed getting out and about. Thankyou to our wonderful volunteers, who gave up their morning so that others could participate. Just a heads up that we did have some giant ducks trying to eat participants this morning, so it is extra important to make sure that children are always with an adult. See more
This week’s parkrun Canada blog comes to us from our neighbour, North Bay parkrun. https://blog.parkrun.com/ca/2020/06/02/finding-my-stride/
We miss you, and hope that you’re all well.
Hi parkrunners! We will be SO happy and grateful to see you, when we’re able to be together again. We hope that you’re keeping well and healthy. Here’s a video of a very cute couple, who really miss parkrun.
I might have to make the drive to North Bay!
We are incredibly grateful to Saucony Canada for the support they provide to parkrun Canada. #free #weekly #timed
Hi Avery Beach parkrunners! Hopefully not too long until we see you on Saturday mornings. In the meantime... Tawingo is hosting a charity event called "Muskoka Snowshoe Races" on March 1 in support of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.... It is a run/walk 5k and 10k course with fun for the whole family. There is also a snowshoe walk with food hosted along the way called the Gourmet Marche on Saturday night, current confirmed restaurants involved include the Mill, the Good Food Co-op, Kelseys and some local catering companies. The event is February 29/March 1. Lots of information on their website and social media: All proceeds from the event will go towards the Huntsville Hospital Foundation! https://www.facebook.com/Muskokasnowshoe/ https://mailchi.mp/tawingo/snowshoe
