Dear Blue Avocado readers: Every year, the publisher of Blue Avocado, Nonprofits Insurance Alliance (NIA), hosts the most popular photo contest of the 501(c)(3) sector. The Annual Nonprofit Photo Contest celebrates the great work nonprofits are doing for their communities. This year’s theme: Nonprofit Strong. Submit a photo of your nonprofit demonstrating the theme in action.... Winners are determined by public votes and by NIA judges, so be sure to share your entry with everyone you know and encourage them to vote for your nonprofit! All rules and contest dates are available on the submission page. Over the course of the contest, we’ll post past winners on social media. The prizes: Best of Show: $1000 first place Standing Ovation: $500 second place Spotlight: $100 each for 10 more nonprofits Although only winners get cash prizes, other entrants may still be featured in our social posts. Thoughtful and sweet like only a little boy can b...e, Cale has two favourite things; the Minions and listening to classic rock with his Grandpa. Born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, he has some limitations, but you’d never know it from his upbeat attitude. Cale, along with his mom, sister, his beloved Grandpa, and his Grandma, enjoyed a week at Disney World at the beginning of summer last year.
