It's great that the JUNO Awards will be coming to London in 2019. But here's an idea for the powers that be to consider. London is home to one of the greatest a...nd most storied original bands to ever grace the Canadian music scene: Thundermug (Bill Durst, Ed Pranskus, Jim Corbett and Joe DeAngelis). The original band was active from 1970 to 1976. The band toured with everybody who was anybody during that period and they charted singles like Africa and a cover of The Kinks' You Really Got me. Thundermug was one of the first inductees to the Jack Richardson Music Awards Hall of Fame (2006). However, unfortunately for Thundermug and their fans, their efforts and success were never recognized by the JUNOs. That mistake can be corrected when the JUNO Awards come to London in 2019. Let's start a campaign now to get Thundermug a well deserved Honourary JUNO Award to be presented at the ceremony.
