Social Work month in March is the time to celebrate the amazing profession of Social Work! The theme for Social Work month 2021 is Social Workers are Essential. Social workers are essential to community well-being. They are qualified, compassionate, committed and trained to help people address personal and systemic barriers to optimal living. B.C.'s COVID-19 Immunization Plan will happen in four phases. The focus at first is to protect those most likely to experience severe illness. Vaccinations for the general population are scheduled to begin in April and vaccines will primarily be distributed by age groups, in five year increments, starting with older adults.
