Welcome to Day 9! Looking for a healthier vegetarian option for your Holiday dessert roster? Axum Oils’... Holiday (or any day)Pie Ingredients 1 Pack Medium (Semi-Soft) Tofu 1 Tbsp Cinnamon A Sprinkle of Grated Nutmeg 1 Cup Almond (or other nut) milk Honey to taste Crust: The one I used is store bought and made of graham crackers. If you’d like it homemade, you can mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press the mixture into a pan (like the one in the pics). Bake on 325 until firm. INSTRUCTIONS: Add all ingredients to blender. I like to add the tofu first so that the other ingredients fall onto it rather than falling onto the glass and sticking there during the blending process. While blending, if anything sticks to the sides, use a spoon or spatula to scrape it down and then blend until every thing is smooth. Add mixture to the already baked pie crust, & bake on 325 for approx 20-25 mins Allow to cool fully before serving. Also serves great as a cold dessert! *Garnish with sliced fruits for extra nutrients and aesthetics!

Caring For the Skin You're In Over the course of our lives I'm sure we've ALL heard about how the skin is the largest organ of the body and how important it is. There is no denying that what keeps our insides...well...inside, is paramount to our health and wellbeing. Our skin is made up of 2 main divisions starting with the outermost layer called the epidermis. The epidermis itself is composed of 6 layers . The second division is called the Dermis, which is made up of 2 layer...s. To keep our skin glowing and healthy, I recommend using essential oils, but before that, I recommend balancing the diet as this is the foundation for healthy skin. When we look at our intake of food and drink on a daily basis, it's really beneficial to pay attention to the essential nutrients and how many of them you're getting them. ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS 1. Carbs 2 Vitamins (ie. Vitamin C, Vitamin D) 3. Fats (ie. Polyunsaturated fat) 4. Minerals 5. Proteins (Yes they come from plant sources too!) Naturally I always encourage everyone to keep up their water intake to at least 6-8 glasses per day. Now, on to the essential oils. Here are some great oils to use on the skin (preferably diluted in a carrier oil like olive or even avocado most of the time). Basil, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium Grapefruit, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Lavender, Myrrh, Patchouli, Rose & Sandalwood. All of these oils have wonderful properties that promote the health and wellness of the skin.
