I was asked the following question regarding coping and thriving post COVID19, I thought Id share: What advice do you have to help other SME survive and thrive in/after this crisis? There are no quick fixes in life or business. At least there hasnt been for me.... Think big, think long term, dont think small, dont think short term. Adapt your product, services and methodology to increase profit. Think less about gross sales, more about the profit. Adjust your team, to experience greater synergy and quality. Be clear, fair but now is time to act on better processes, accountability and performance management Think progress, not perfection. Dont get paralysis by analysis. Take massive action, but planned out action. Ask questions all the time and predict things as best you can. Plan to be ahead of the curve especially within your field and business. The world changes and if you dont, you will be left behind. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. Avoid too much debt and always have a war chest. Cut costs aggressively. Help others whenever, wherever you can, if you do, your firm will always grow and so will you. Get a mentor. Find someone who has achieved what you want. Look after yourself first so you can look after your family. Be humble, drop the ego and take advice from those who have done it. Hope you find some value. Recently a consultant from Thompson Reuters was onsite for a couple of days to train our team on how to operate our new practice management software. This is an exciting step for us! Even though its only been running a couple of weeks it is significantly increasing our effectiveness and workflow organization. Weve made great strides to serve you more efficiently over the last number of years. In the last 12 months weve surpassed our goals for proactivity, quality and speed! Cant wait to see what 2020 brings for our firm and our clients!

May 1st has arrived! Axworthy Saulnier would like to take a minute to thank our colleagues, clients and friends for allowing us the opportunity to serve your needs. We would also like to let everyone know that our offices will be closed from May 6 through 10th, to allow our staff a well-deserved break. Friends, only two weeks left to the personal income tax season and while we are all getting quite tired - I also realize I need to pause and acknowledge how extremely thankful I feel. This has hands down been our happiest, smoothest and most successful tax season. We are amazed by the amount of referrals/new clients we receive and are very appreciative of our many loyal clients. Our team has risen to the occasion and by all indications provided an excellent service - they are stars for which I am most grateful.

We are a little late sharing but are very proud of a key member of our team, Nicola Roberts - Fenton, for winning a entrepreneurial award and following her giftedness and passion to create a new venture. Shes definitely gifted and passionate and only good things can come from it! Probably the best friend I ever had who is now deceased used to celebrate my successes with me by encouraging me to give more and when journeying with me thro...ugh a business deal gone bad or the actions of an unethical business partner he again encouraged me to give more as my course of action. We are very pleased to announce that we are in the process of forming a charitable foundation. Friends of Bella Charitable Foundation - in support of families with critically ill children, will aim to relieve the financial pressure on families so they can focus on the health of their sick child and the overall wellness of their family. We know first hand the expense associated with a critically ill child and have felt called to do something for those who often are not in a position to cope with the reality of this burden. Our company, Axworthy Saulnier, will absorb the administrative and Human Resource requirements so all funds can go directly to the families we support. We are likely 6 months away from an official launch and only share this now to ask for your prayers as we continue to discern the first board of directors and governance framework. Well friends tax season has ramped up in Canada and is in full swing, its an extreme privilege to represent so many of you in executing your tax plan. It makes our workflow easier if you could please drop off your tax information as soon as its all available. Our thoughts are with our local fishers this morning as the season begins.

As many have likely noticed, we are pleased to have removed the large fence and added a more convenient parking area for our clients. Staff will remain over in our gravelled lot and clients are encouraged to use our new paved area. We will add some lines in the near future to maximize the space!

Sorry for the short notice but our new parking lot project needed to be expanded to include in front of main entrance making our offices difficult to access today...but on the positive side we will have much better customer parking on Monday afternoon! Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused!
