Here we are, still seeing and feeling the effects of yesterday’s full moon, marking the beginning of a potent month. Full moons illuminate and unveil. They pull up what lurks below the surface and in the shadows. They mark completion and celebration. They represent wholeness and fullness. They pull up the tides, on the earth and in our hearts. The depths of us rise to greet this full light in the sky. On full moons, we feel it all. This month, we have two full moons. One toda...y to usher in the month, and one on the last day of the month to close it out. These moons create a portal, illuminating beginnings and endings, giving us hope strength and hope through the void. We are on the other end of the autumn equinox, where the nights grow and we are called to journey inward and find light in the dark. Mercury and Mars are retrograde, pulling up parts of our past that need care, attention and healing. The veils between worlds are thin, heightening our intuition and connection with our ancestors and higher guidance. This marks a potent month for illumination, for healing, for magic making. To let the parts of ourselves and our histories that have been hiding be seen, embraced, healed, and glow, radiant like the moons that mark the beginning and end this month. To hold hope for the best possible outcome, and put all our efforts forth to bring it to life. To bring it to light. This month is a portal. This month is a time for transformation. I shared more on healing and making the most of this portal in my October newsletter, along with a guided meditation gift to support you sign up in my bio and I’ll send it your way. If you’re in need of additional support during this time, I’m always here for you through virtual + IRL healing sessions, weekly virtual + IRL yoga @goodspaceto, and New Moon Visions for some virtual community meditation, healing, guidance and connection on October 15. This month, may you journey courageously and compassionately through the depths, into the void, and beyond the veil this month to find all the illumination, healing and magic that has always been there for you. Sending you all the love + blessings. Take sweet care of you http://eepurl.com/dfZCeL

Remember: this month is ripe for illumination. This month is ripe for healing. This month is ripe for magic. Tend to your inner child. Call to your ancestors. See the shadow. Find the light. Listen to your heart. Embody your spirit. Show up for yourself. Show up for others. Reach out for support as you need. Offer support as you can. Clear out the old. Make space for the new. Harvest the fruits of your labour. Sow the seeds of your dreams. Get grounded. Go inward. Shine outwa...rd. Put in your effort. Make space for grace. Receive. And if all you can do right now is rest and get by, then rest and get by. Remember, it's a long game, this life, and we need you. And you need you. Take sweet care of you, so you can help take sweet care of our world. Step by step. Breath by breath. I’m right there with you, walking this path alongside you. You are not alone. Sending all the love to you, and all the gratitude to @mejuri for these sweet sparklers #heartwisdom #throughtheportal #beyondtheveil #makespaceforgrace #mejuri

On the magic of reciprocity // I did a longer morning of sadhana (spiritual practices) yesterday, then got a nudge to take some food to a community fridge @cf___to. I put some veggies in my bag, walked to my front door and got a nudge to take some more. My ego resisted- shouldn’t I keep the extra? I followed the nudge and filled my bag. As I walked northward past a local cafe, I got a nudge to stop for a matcha latte. My ego resisted- did I really need it? I followed the nudg...e and stood in line. As I waited in line, the woman in front of me apologized- she was getting a big order for a bunch of very disappointed Raptors fans. I could tell she was feeling it too. I told her not to worry, that I wasn’t in a rush. She added a few scones to her order, and then turned to me and said, What do you want? Its on me. I resisted. She insisted. As she paid, she asked the barista if my latte was included- I guess the price looked low to her. The barista assured her it was. And the scones? she asked. The barista said Ah no, I forgot to charge you for those. Don’t worry, they’re on the house. My latte angel resisted. The barista insisted. I smiled. I had a bag full of food to donate, received a gift from my latte angel, who received a gift from the cafe, who I imagine now has two extra loyal customers. It reminded me of my time with Amma @mataamritanandamayi, where I always find that the more seva (selfless service) I do, the more grace I receive- one of her most potent teachings. It also reminded me of a piece of Indigenous wisdom learned from #RobinWallKimmerer, that true wealth is measured by having enough to give away. The laws of karma, reciprocity and abundance aren’t always as neatly packaged as they were in this moment, but I truly believe all we give comes back to us someway, somehow. Keep up with your practices. Follow your quiet nudges. Take care of your neighbours. If you have a little extra, share it with those who may not. If you’re in a bit of a slump, try a small act of kindness for someone else. Even amongst all the pains of the world, stay open to kindness, to joy, to magic. As you give, so too you receive

New Moon Visions - Sept 17 // New moons are a beautiful time to join together in ritual and set intentions for the month ahead. When the light of the moon is missing from the night sky, we are called to turn inward and tune into the light within. We plant seeds of intention at this time which are nourished by the light of the expanding moon as it reaches towards fullness. This sacred space is designed for us to drop in deep to our heart's wisdom, and create fertile ground to ...nourish our seeds of intention and action for this grounded new moon in Virgo. You'll be guided through with energy + sound healing, a visioning meditation, intention setting, and intuitive guidance for the month ahead, and connect with a like-hearted community for inspired discussion + questions. Thursday, September 17, 7 - 8:15pm EST via Zoom. An audio recording will be available for those who cannot attend live. Full details here: http://ayahnorris.com/meditation

Missing this place muchly this year, but taking solace in the heart wisdom that’s been circling close to my heart, from my first trip to the playa you will always find your way home. On the first night of my first burn, I promptly lost my friends. After some wanderings and deliberation, I decided to cross the playa and head back to my camp. I walked my bike to take it all in, this new world that felt like a dream. It was a long walk. All sorts of things arose. Wonder at t...he beauty and magic of it all. Fears around finding my place here. Disappointment and sadness that my first night was not as I’d planned or imagined it to be. I walked through it all, step-by-step, step-by-step. As I walked, the heaviness began to untether its grip, and slowly, my inner voice found its way through: You will find your way home. First arising to ease my fear of being lost in the desert, the meaning seemed to extend outward as I repeated it in my mind. As I walked, all my dreams, all the long-held stirrings of my heart unfolded in front of me, and to each a voice of knowing said, you will find your way home. A trust began to unfold that not only would I find my way back to my camp that night, I would find my way to the purpose my soul was longing for, the love my heart was seeking, all the places and experiences that were calling me. Somehow, someway, I would find my way home. Trust, trust. Step-by-step, step-by-step. And then this notion of you will find your way home expanded, blew past all the worldly dreams and desires. Past all these was perhaps the ultimate home, the resting place for my soul, true peace. If I focused my efforts on finding that place here, in this body, this mind, this heart, well then, I would always be home. No matter where I was, with who, what I perceived myself to have or not have, I would be home. The seat of the soul. The heart of the heart. Here, here, here I would always find my way home. More on this story + insights from the in-between in my September newsletter sign up in my bio. May this new month bring you home closer to your heart, closer to your truth, closer to all that calls you.Love you
