Ayalik Fund was happy to work with the Seltzer Chan Foundation to make a food bank donation in these COVID times to the community of Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet). See the piece in the SCF newsletter: http://pondinletfoundation.org/newsletters/nl2020.pdf

In 2020, Ayalik Fund sponsored one Inuit youth program in Yellowknife, and also pivoted to provide 5 Nunavut food banks: Cambridge Bay, Kugaaruk, Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet), Salliq (Coral Harbour) and Sanirajak (Hall Beach) with support including food baskets and staples, gift bags for youth and soccer balls, crafts and nutritious snacks for children. Your generous support is pivotal as we go forward with confidence into 2021.

This is at the heart of what the Ayalik Fund is all about. Once again, in 2020, we had a dozen Inuit youth who clearly benefited from the confidence-building challenge of a rigorous canoe trip. It will warm your heart to read their story. https://ayalikfund.ca/News/News_2020/ 2020 was a difficult year, in some ways. But Ayalik was nevertheless able to help youth and their families right across Nunavut, providing much needed food, hygiene supplies, soccer balls and crafts ...to 5 Nunavut food banks during the difficult times of the COVID crisis. The Ayalik Fund continues to change lives, one youth at a time, and you can be a part of it. None of this would be possible without your generous support. We urge you to support Ayalik Fund and to spread the word, so we can continue to serve young Inuit in need of a boost, for decades to come. We have big plans for several trips in the summer of 2021. Stay tuned!

Ayalik Fund would like to extend a Big Thank you! to the Piviniit Society of Iqaluit and all of your Board, volunteers and donors for your very generous $5000 donation to the Ayalik Fund. This donation will be a big help to the Ayalik Fund in continuing our efforts to provide high quality confidence-building programming to Inuit youth across Nunavut!
