REMEMBRANCE DAY BELL RINGING AT AYLMER UNITED CHURCH NOTE: CHANGE IN TIME - GATHER AT 10:50 a.m. ... Remember to bring your bell. Given that there is no service at the Cenotaph this year, would you be interested in ringing bells on the lawn in front of the church for a few minutes before 11:00 a.m. and the two minutes of silence? Due to Covid-19, there are some rules to be followed: * Pre-registration is required - we are limited to 25 persons. [email protected] * Contact information must be provided at the time of registration. * Everyone is to wear masks. * Individuals must provide their own sanitizer, bells and personal needs. * There will be no entry to the church building. * Everyone must be at a safe distance, i.e., 6 feet apart. (In the case of of a couple or family group, they will considered a 'bubble' and as a group be 6 feet from others.) If you are interested in participating, please email Ellen Muise to let her know or call 819-685-0656, before November 11th. Let's remember those who gave their lives so we could be free.

Sept. 5th Kindness AUC Bill Caverly We, Aylmer United Church, thank you for your volunteer work. We appreciate the spontaneous around the clock time that you put in to keep our church in tip top shape very much. Your chili and various other dishes are so delicious and welcomed at our fundraisers.... Your coffee making skill during the Fellowship following the Sunday Services and at Fundraisers has always been welcome. We look forward to seeing you again when we re-open. Together as a church community we make Aylmer United Church a safer, kinder, and great church to go to. We hope that you enjoy this banana loaf with cream cheese icing and the friendships from our church. Again, thank you for all that you do. He received a banana loaf with cream cheese icing and our postcard.

Friday August 28th Joy Ruttan was the very first Kindness AUC recipient for Aylmer United Church. Our wonderful Joy is such a caring, loving person. She has been an active part of our Church Council, UCW and various other key committees for many years. Her jams and now muffins are a welcome tasty treat at church and in the community. For me personally Joy has been a great help and inspiration at all the church fundraisers I have organized in recent years. My favourit...e memory is always her in butterfly wings leading a procession of Pumpkin Walkers! We are so proud of you Joy, love you and thank you for all you do! She received a banana loaf with cream cheese icing and our postcard. See attached photos! If you wish to recognize someone at Aylmer United Church for their kindness please send an email to this email address with their name and their act of Kindness of something they did in our church. I will add their name to the list. Once a week it will be posted in the Weekly Message. One recipient per week (occasionally 2) will receive their choice of a banana loaf with cream cheese icing or a loaf of whole wheat bread or an other token of appreciation.
