It's spring and there is always something to do. The joy is in the doing and sharing. As we become a community here on the land we learn what that means and we renew over and over again our commitment to be in right relationship - to ourselves, each other, the animals, the land and waters.... Early morning, feeding the chickens. There are currently 24 chickens and a duck at Ayni Farm. An abundance of eggs and early morning rooster calls! Ayni Farm is now instagramming... follow us, follow the chickens, the seasons, the teaching of the land and come visit soon!

Just wanted to share this wonderful gathering that Hornby Island Arts Council & Heron Rocks Friendship Center will be hosting. A hosting of the Hosts. A welcoming of a beautiful K'omoks Nation Knowledge keeper and an incredible warrior cook who holds a lot of traditional teachings around Coast Salish Food. It's that time of year where people feast and gather together in community. Time to build bridges.
