B Hive Conditioning 26.01.2021

#1 Simon Bissonnette and Nick Brown. It’s hard to say when this group started as we’ve been training together since we were 14 years old playing Bantam AAA hockey. Simon’s dad use to run summer training programs out of FHS before he had his own facility and that’s where we began training. From there we moved to his basement in his house, to his own facility on Bishop drive, to a new facility on Woodside lane,and now Bizz fitness owns their own building on Prospect street. Fr...om the very beginning we have been working with Eric in the gym. We have worked with Fit Kids, we have ran bootcamp classes and summer hockey training programs, we have trained individual athletes of many different sports, we have basically worked with everyone who has came through Bizz Fitness doors. 5 months ago we proposed an idea to start our own business called B-Hive conditioning to run out of the Bizz Fitness gym and Eric was all for it. Our current functional fitness methodology has grown over the past 15 years. We try and incorporate things that we have learned not only from Eric, but from every trainer we have worked with over the past decade and a half. As they say in CrossFit, our specialty is not specializing. We like to do it all! We love lifting weights, we love repping through gymnastics movements, and we also love suffering through a long cardio workout. Most of all, we love sharing this passion for fitness with other people. We love seeing other people become hooked on fitness just as we did 15 years ago. We are completely different athletes, and that’s what makes us such great training partners. We are able to push each other in different areas. You will hear both of us say that there is no one that we hate losing to more than each other. Great training partners, make great business partners. It’s all about taking the things we are individually good at and putting them to use as a team. B Hive Conditioning 19.01.2021

#2 Megan McGuigan. Megan is a 4th year Student studying Psychology and Sociology at St. Thomas University. Upon graduating, Megan hopes to get into the Social Work program at STU. Megan joined our group when she started working at Fit Kids in 2017, although this was not her first time at The gym. She had been training at Bizz Fitness since she was in Middle school for synchronized swimming. She was a competitive synchronized swimmer who represented New Brunswick at the ...2015 Canada Games. Although she no longer competes, Megan loves coaching new up and coming swimmers at the Fredericton Synchro club. Once Megan was done swimming, she was looking for something to keep her active and healthy. Functional Fitness was the perfect fit. It was so cool to watch her catch on to things that we were teaching her so quickly. After a summers work she could do muscle ups, handstand push ups and her lifting technique improved substantially. It didn’t take long before she started to beat us in some workouts. It was then that we realized we wanted to share the way we trained with more people. We felt that people could really benefit from the way that we trained ourselves. This is why we started letting people jump in on the workouts that we were doing. Megan was the first of many great individuals that we have added to our community along the way. #3 Blake Murphy. Blake is a Freddy boy who has been coming to Bizz fitness for a long time. Growing up he was an elite football player and therefore started coming to train with Eric when he was in Middle School. After graduating high school at FHS, Blake committed to play football at Bishops University. After suffering a couple of significant injuries, Blake was forced to hang up his cleats and decided to finish out his university career at UNB where he studied Kinesiolo...gy. Blake is currently studying and writing exams in hopes of getting in to dental school. As Blake had been training at Bizz Fitness for such a long time, he decided to fill the void of football by spending more time at the gym. He jumped in on our group and it made all of us better athletes right away. Blake started pushing us in workouts and brought a great dynamic to our group. He has been with our group for 3 years now. #4 Anton Benfey. Anton is a 4th year computer science student at UNB who recently accepted a full time job at C-Vent as a software developer! Anton has been kicking around the gym for a long time. He has been doing personal training with Nick and Frank for over 5 years now. As a few of us at the gym started training together, Anton wanted in on the action and would meet up with us weekly on top of his 1 on 1 sessions. Anton loves throwing down in workouts in the group. It’...s no secret that Anton loves to Bench Press, but you may see him doing the odd burpee or two if it is programmed for him. Anton lives a very active lifestyle, and loves being around the gym. Unfortunately with the circumstances being as they are, Anton trained with us outside this summer and is now following his own program at home. We can’t wait to have Anton back at Bizz Fitness and B-Hive Conditioning. He is a huge part of our community. #5 Taylor Price. Taylor has been around Bizz Fitness for a long time. Taylor began training at the gym when she was a young hockey player with Nick and Simon. After training hard for a few years, Taylor committed to play hockey at York University. As soon as she came home from University she would be back in the gym, even coming in over Holiday breaks when she was back in Fredericton. After her second year, Taylor decided that she would rather continue her education close...r to family and friends and therefore returned to continue her engineering degree at UNB last year. It was at that time that she approached Nick and Simon wondering if she could train with them full time as there was already a few people doing this. She jumped in on the small group and started making major progress on her lifts and her gymnastics skills. Taylor is a very strong athlete and thrives off competition. She loves being pushed and also pushes others to do their best. When Taylor is in the room you know it. She brings an awesome energy to the gym and always makes it fun for the people around her.
