We love completely gutting an outdated bathroom with an awkward layout and turning it into a beautiful and more functional space We moved the shower drain/placement and toilet, which made enough space for two people to stand at the vanity and a pull-out drawer. We ripped out two layers of linoleum and one layer of tile flooring and replaced with vinyl plank flooring. We made the new laminate countertop and installed the new vanity, sink and fixtures. We also ended up replacing drywall and taking the texture out of the ceiling. Working on older homes can be challenging, but seeing the transformation is so satisfying! Along with installing new baseboards in the entire basement, we re-finished the stairs with Laminate flooring and maple side stringers. Mike let us know what he wanted out of the space and, after a few design revisions, we were able to rebuild his backyard to fill the needs of his growing family and storage needs. This main upper deck has a reinforced pressure treated structure to last the lifetime of the composite decking. The smart board skirting and tri...m were color matched to the house. The lattice that ran along the side of the house was replaced with smart trim for better protection against the elements to provide more usable storage. Three gates were added for easier access to the storage spaces. We finally had the time to build this sliding barn door for our pantry and we are obsessed with it We started with rough cedar and after much sanding, we stained, then cut in various lengths and put it together like a random jigsaw puzzle.
