BABES IN BALI NOV 2013 After learning about Balinese offerings, and making two, we’re getting ready to place one of the offerings at the temple on the hotel grounds. It’s a great start for anyone new to Bali to understand the importance of the beautiful offerings that the Balinese make twice a day. There were 4 pairs of Mom’s and daughters on this trip and the other seven women were all single travellers. If you’re single and thinking about travelling but waiting to find... someone to join you, my advise is to just jump in with both feet and get going. There are so many wonderful tours just for women to choose from and as you can see from this photo, you’re never really alone when with a group. I loved exploring Bali with this group thanks to all of you for choosing to experience Bali with me: Sarah, Jillian, Michelle, Lillian, Maureen, Alynn, Brenda, Cathy, Marj, Carmen, Farrell, Penny, Jan, Madison and Allison. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMAN'S DAY to all the wonderful females in my life! In celebration of this day, I wanted to share a photo from my Babes in Bali group, October 2011 (the 11th Babes group). Not only was this a fabulous group of women but there was had a 60 year age gap, from their 20's to their 80's. That says something about women - we are strong at any age and love to share amazing experiences with other women. I’m so fortunate to have a business that caters to wom...en and provides the opportunity for me to share with them my love of travel while exploring hidden treasures and magical locations. Quite often the surprising bonus for all of us is the intimate connections we make with the other women on the tour. And of course the chance to meet the Balinese women who are so graceful, kind, gentle, resourceful, loving, strong, incredible moms, spiritual, courageous, leaders in their communities and overall - very humble. Sending to all the above women plus all my ‘sisters’ in my tribe. See more

I'd love to have you join me this Wednesday, Jan 27 at 8PM EST, for the Journeywoman Book Club. Even if you haven't read the book, you're welcome to take part. There will be a lively conversation about the courage that Rita Golden Gelman had at age 48 when she decided to leave her comfortable life behind and travel around the world, for many years. It's never to late to get your wanderlust on ladies! And let's all be ready to explore our majestic world once it's safe to do so.
This was exactly a year ago today. Just in case you need to see a gorgeous sunset and hear the waves, this short video is for you.
If you've ever thought about travelling with girlfriends, this article has some great tips to avoid potential conflicts. Of course if you join me on a Babes in Bali tour, it's so easy to come on your own as I can either help find you a roommate or you can enjoy your own room for 14 nights but have all the benefits of travelling with other women. It's safe, fun and you just never know who you will meet on the tour that will become a lifelong friend and maybe even a future travelling companion! https://journeywoman.com//newly-widowed-tips-women-travel/

These rice terraces are near the Tirta Gangga Water Temple, in east Bali. I’ve driven by them many times but have never seen them from above. Absolutely breathtaking!!! Thank you Ubud Now & Then for brightening my day here in Canada.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian Babes! Even during the pandemic I am still finding lots to be grateful for. Thank you all for your love, encouragement and support for the Babes in Bali tours since 2002. We will be back once we can travel again, creating magical experiences as we explore Bali together.
Check out this beautiful Hindu Temple in Bali. It’s Bali’s oldest temple and so magnificent.
