Wondering what to expect in your First Trimester? This pretty much sums it up! In all reality, every child bearer will have a different experience, but nausea is certainly a common symptom to experience in the first 13 weeks or so. You will likely notice changes in:... breast tenderness nausea (why do they call it morning sickness when it's basically all day??) food cravings and/or aversions heartburn energy levels mood swings Most symptoms of pregnancy can be considered normal or regular, but never be afraid to reach out to a professional if something doesn't feel right! Enjoy this time and treat your body with extra care -- @saracelinaa . . . . . . #firsttrimester #whattoexpectwhenyoureexpecting #pregnancyannouncement #morningsickness #newbaby #newborn #doulasupport See more

The postpartum night shift.if you have ever experienced this service you know what a difference it can make. The night sometimes starts with a chat between me and the family, discussing the days previous and bouncing ideas off one another... other times exhausted parents head straight for bed with the speed of lightning. While I care for and monitor baby, I might fold some laundry or empty the dishwasher, anything I can cross off your to-do list. Though I see that baby has ...a good sleep too, a postpartum night shift is primarily intended for that tired mama. A night of not having to listen for the every snort and tussle of your newborn is priceless. Are you ready for a good night’s sleep?? . . . . . . #doula #doulasupport #doulaservices #postpartumdoula #postpartumnightsupport #overnightshift #restfulsleep #tiredmom #newborncare #torontodoula

Bonding with baby MYTHBUSTING Myth #1: Normal womxn bond with their newborns immediately Myth #2: Having negative thoughts about your baby means you are not a good parent Myth #3: After a long, strenuous, painful labour, all your struggles will melt away when you meet your newborn... New parents and parents to be, remember: your baby has been getting to know you long before you got to know them. Bonding is a process that takes some time after baby is born, skin to skin, breastfeeding, and breathing in that sweet newborn scent. Not everyone has the instantaneous connection with their newborn and that's okay. Love develops, it grows. Whether it is right away or takes some time, both are totally normal. Taking care of baby's needs, watching them develop, making eye contact and cuddles help to get that bond and connection. Being a new parent is exhausting and hard work, be kind to yourself. -- @trulytanni . . . . . . #newborn #postpartum #postpartumdepression #bondingwithbaby #bonding #parenting #mythbusting #mommotivation #torontodoula #doula See more
