Brockville and Area Community Foundation 18.11.2020

The Brockville and Area Community Foundation (BACF) and the United Way Leeds and Grenville (UWLG) recently approved a grant of $6,000 to the Athens Food Bank/ Crisis Fund Association, in support of their program providing non-perishable food and personal hygiene items and food vouchers to those in need. This was funded through the Government of Canada’s $350M Emergency Community Support Fund. This national effort aims to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19. We are accepting funding applications!! We are proud to take part in the second round of funding of the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund, alongside Community Foundations of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross and United Way Centraide Canada. In Collaboration with the United Way Leeds & Grenville (UWLG), we are accepting applications for the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) starting on October 5th. The Brockville and Area Community Foundation and the United Way Leeds and Grenville recently approved a grant of $68,300 to the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau, in support of their newly established Financial Literacy Program. This was funded through the Government of Canada’s $350M Emergency Community Support Fund. This national effort aims to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19. The United Way Leeds and Grenville (UWLG) and The Brockville and Area Community Foundation (BACF) recently approved a grant of $136,687 to the YMCA Eastern Ontario, to support the establishment of their Youth/Teen Drop-in Centre at the Brockville YMCA Facility. This was funded through the Government of Canada’s $350M Emergency Community Support Fund. This national effort aims to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
