Regarding equipment rentals. We are extending equipment rentals for the time being. We are continuing to be closed for the next 2 weeks at least according to the Alberta regulations. But that makes it hard to plan for rentals because we don’t know if it will be 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, etc? So we thought the best way to go about this was to offer equipment rental extensions on a prorated basis. If you paid $75 for the first month, and we get closed... for another 4 weeks, you pay another $75. If we are only closed for 2 weeks, you pay 1/2 of that $37.50. We will give as much notice as possible for equipment return and it will likely be over a weekend. And then you can pay your equipment rental upon that return date. That way we aren’t charging for month and then having to refund after 2 weeks. Colin or Ally will be contacting everyone who has equipment to confirm that you agree to this arrangement. In the meantime, we are starting to get more vocal about these closures and we encourage you to do the same. If you want to get back into the gym, start these conversations about what the gym means to you and your physical/mental well being. The more of us who say these thing, the more we will be heard. Hey everyone! We know you all have a lot of questions regarding memberships and the gym reopening and what is to happen. We are hopeful that reopening will get addressed in todays update from the province and we have more info to move forward with. So stay tuned and remember, we get notices about regulations at the same time as all of you, so it does take us some time to process and make decisions.

Please share! Gyms. Yoga studios. Spin studios. These services need to be open. If there is anything that this pandemic has shown us it is that we need to prioritize health. And many of the comorbidities associated with this virus are metabolic diseases, meaning they are better managed by diet and exercise. Taking away a persons outlet for physical and mental health and their form of preventative medicine is going to have a trickle down affect on the health care system, the t...hing we are trying so hard to protect. As a gym owner, we care deeply about our members, which is why we closed the first time without second thought. We wanted to protect our people in anyway we could. Since reopening that has been top priority. Making sure our members felt confident returning to exercise because we put in measures that met an even higher standard for reducing spread of sickness. As a result, most of us in this industry did not even have a single case in our facilities. Basing closures off of theoretical spread is nonsense when you look at the reality and the facts that we all went above and beyond to protect our members while still provide them with a resource and space for their physical and mental health. And those measures show little to NO spread of disease. Meaning the theories about potential spread are invalid. We need to be open. We need to put our staff back to work. We need to prioritize the health of our community, in more ways than just the absence of a single virus.

Hey everyone! We want to make everyone aware of how we are adapting to the latest COVID restrictions set out by the AB government. 1) This comes into effect on Friday November 27th, which means all classes/programs will run normally until that date.... 2) As of Friday November 27th we will NOT be hosting group classes for a period of 3 weeks as per the guidelines. 24 HOUR ACCESS IS STILL AVAILABLE. We have adjusted all memberships for December to reflect this. Everyone will pay for an open gym membership ONLY. 3) All monthly or prepaid members have a 24h access key fob to be able to come into the facility and do your solo workouts. We will have several muscle max and met con workouts premade as well as video links for how to do the workouts posted at the gym for you to use. 4) Our class instructors will work most normal shifts (6am-730, 9am-12pm, 4pm-8pm). They are responsible for cleaning and supervising the facility and to answer questions you may have about the pre designed workouts. They will NOT be leading a class. Please do not come in with groups of classmates intending to workout together just without the instructor. If you happen to come in at the same time as a classmates, no sharing of equipment and maintain physical distancing. 5) Childminding is still available to monthly members from 9am-11am and we will continue to abide by the childminding rules and regulations we have set out. If you are keeping your child home from school because they have any kind of cold/flu symptoms where you think they would be unable to attend school, they are not to be in childminding either. 6) There is a capacity limit in place. It is 25% of our fire code. Signage for MAX number will be posted at the gym. If we are at capacity when you arrive, we ask that you wait until someone finishes to start your training. 7) There will be NO DROP IN WORKOUTS at this time, but you can still purchase a membership during our office hours Mon to Thurs 4-7pm with our receptionist Laura or by appointment. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please email us at [email protected]

MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT Hey BAF FAM! As I am sure you are all wondering, with cases in our province increasing, and changes to regulations province wide, we are planning for all scenarios.... 1. We have already decided, that for the month of DECEMBER, all memberships will be charged our OPEN GYM rate. Anyone who currently has a CLASS MEMBERSHIP will be automatically lowered. Depending on what happens over the next couple weeks, if we are required to 'stop running classes' (this isn't the case yet) we will make sure you are well taken care of but we also want your membership to reflect this potential interruption to our services. If there are no restrictions on classes then you just get an early Christmas present of a discounted membership. Open gym memberships will not change at this time. 2. Should we be required to close again all memberships will automatically go on hold. This means that anyone on a term membership (1 year, 2 year) will have their membership extended accordingly. There are no restrictions at the time of me writing this, but as things have been going, we want to be prepared if things change. We appreciate the support of all of our members over the past year and we are excited to keep providing you the best service we can, no matter what happens. Thanks for always sticking by us :-)
