The rumours are TRUE! we have been approved to gradually return to work whenever we can comply with the new policies put in place by the Ministry of Health and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario BUT please be patient with us, as there is still a shortage of PPE and approved disinfectants. This impacts when we can return, and the extent to which we can practice after our return... We will be sending an email to all of our clients prior to their appointments with a full list of changes that have been implemented and more specific information on what to expect during their appointment time *We ask that anyone entering the clinic come with a CLEAN mask on. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you *We have enhanced cleaning and contact tracing requirements, and have removed all surfaces from our clinic that cannot be properly sanitized *Only one person will be allowed inside per appointment (whenever possible) AGAIN we are having a difficult time acquiring a reasonable amount of required PPE and disinfectant but we will be providing an update to our clients as soon as we are able to begin booking appointments again. To all our valued clients: As the state of Emergency in Ontario continues to be monitored we want to remind everyone that we are still under a mandatory closure. This means that we cannot see clients under any circumstance. We are missing massage therapy dearly, and we hope that sometime in the near future we will be able to open. Whenever we get word that we will be able to provide our services again, we will be contacting those people whose appointments were cancelled starting March 16, 2020, in the order in which they were originally booked. Notice to all of our valued clients, As you are more than aware, the province of Ontario has deemed a state of emergency as of March 17th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along side the advisement of the Ontario and Federal Government as well as our own governing body, The College Of Massage Therapists of Ontario, to immediately cease all non-essential services we have had to come to the extremely difficult decision to temporarily close our office until further notice. Ef...fective immediately, all scheduled appointments will be cancelled until further notice. If you receive appointment reminders, please ignore, as that is an automated system and bear with us as we try to catch up on the administrative duties to cancel each scheduled appointment. We are so grateful for all your support kindness, and understanding over these past few days. We truly love our job and we are so appreciative of your continued support over the years. We, too, hope that we can be a unified front in flattening the curve and giving our primary health care providers the best chance possible to deal with this enormous burden. To our valued clients, As of the recent Pandemic status of the COVID-19 virus we will be doing our best to halt the spread within our clinic setting. We are actively asking all of our clients for your assistance in this. If you, or someone close to you has been or will be travelling in the next few weeks please let us know and please be attune to any symptomology you may be presenting with. If you are feeling at all under the weather as in fever, chills, body aches or cough, ...we ask that you inform our clinic and we will gladly reschedule your appointment to a later time. For any clients who are immunocompromised or are in close contact with someone that is immunocompromised, if you are choosing to stay indoors for extra precautions we will gladly make accommodation to reschedule your appointments. We have always taken the necessary precautions to ensure that any sickness is not spread within our clinic environment and will continue to do so but we are asking for your added assistance due to the severity of the problem. Please dont panic, most of us will have mild symptoms, but please think about people who are most at risk at this time. We would like to introduce to you our newest RMT in the office; Alexandra Adrian! Alexandra graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy from Algonquin College in Ottawa. Throughout her 3 years of college, Alexandra has shown an outstanding work ethic. Building on her skill included work as a receptionist, tutoring and volunteering as an examination model. She is dedicated to her work while showing integrity in every area of her life. She is very passionate and has experience with helping women with pre and postnatal work as well as athletic therapy. At this time Alexandra has a full client load but we are taking names to add in for the New Year.

Today was Sheilas last day working in the Fort Frances office. A bittersweet moment for all of us as she continues to work only from her home office. We already miss you dearly and wish you the best as your adventure continues surrounded by your family. As a reminder to all of Sheilas clients, your email reminders will still have the Scott St. office listed as her location, however ALL appointments booked with Sheila will be from her office in Emo.

Tax Season is starting! Dont forget that any un-reimbursed massage therapy treatments can be expensed under the "health expenses" portion of your income tax in Ontario. If you require a year-end statement for this, please send us an email @ [email protected] and we will prepare it and mail it out to you!

Seasons Greetings! We are very excited to welcome Wanda Barker to our team! Wanda is our office administrator; she will be answering your calls and booking yo...ur appointments. Please take a minute to read through some changes that will be happening at our clinic in the New Year: - We will be setting aside a few half hour slots a week for EMERGENCIES ONLY this means sub-acute injuries, or other conditions that are best to be treated immediately. Please be mindful of this when requesting one of these appointments. If we find this system is being abused we reserve the right to disallow a booking - We will only be opening up our schedules for 6-8 weeks in advance. This means that unless otherwise stated in the treatment plan arranged by your therapist we will only book one appointment ahead per person. Our aim by doing this is to have the ability to see new patients without needing to make them wait for 12-15 weeks for an appointment - Those people who are on the cancellation list will have 3 opportunities at their place in the cue to take an appointment that becomes available; after those opportunities you will be moved to the end of the cue - No show clients will immediately be taken off of the cancellation list and billed for the missed appointment as per the Back in Motion cancellation policy. We send emails/text messages at the time of booking and subsequent treatment reminders, so please let us know if you are unable to keep your appointment so that that time slot may be given to someone on the cancellation list - If you miss the opportunity to book with us in the time frame we open up our schedules we will be sure to prioritize your appointment bookings in the next cycle of bookings. (there will be a waiting list and you will be notified promptly as to when our schedules do open for the following months) This will ensure an equal opportunity for clients to be able to schedule appointments. - We also want to remind you that giving away an appointment is not allowed your time slot has been reserved for you and you alone. Please be considerate of this as our cancellation list is ordered and we aim to provide equal opportunity for all - We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement these changes, we are really hoping that this will address some of our scheduling issues and give us more flexibility with booking appointments so we can better accommodate your needs As always, we thank you for your continued business and support.
