Good posture is Power! Lots of adults and children will continue to work/study from home this September, and most will not have the best ergonomic set up. Slouching at your computer or bending forward while you stare at your laptop for hours can cause weakness in your postural muscles and eventually muscular skeletal conditions. Good posture helps to prevent back and neck pain, allows your body to use less energy for daily tasks, helps to decrease wear on joints, improves ...circulation and digestion, appearance and feeling of being taller, and lastly improves self-confidence which gives you more power! Remember to take breaks from your computer every hour and talk to your Chiropractor about seeing if a Posturemedic band may be able to help you.

Is your child starting to feel anxious about returning to school? Weve got some tips that can help: While anxiety is common in adults, this particular back to school year can bring on anxiety in children who have never experienced this emotion before. What is critical is to first understand signs of anxiety and identify how children exhibit these feelings. Once we know this, we are able to better support our children, have honest conversations, and seek help when needed. L...ook out for changes in their behaviour in general but particularly: -Difficulty falling asleep or waking through the night -Upset stomach or other physical complaints -Crying before going to school -Lashing out or screaming -Not eating properly -Feeling tense, fidgety or needing the bathroom often -Being clingy As a parent, it can be hard to identify anxiety in our children, but we need to trust our gut instincts. It doesnt hurt to take action and engage others if you need help. If possible, dialogue with other adults in your childs life eg. teacher and grandparents. Seek out extra resources at their school if available such as a counsellor or a registered clinical counsellor in private practice. Most importantly, keep dialogue open and continuous with your child. Reassurance and love will give them safety, security and stability.

If you are not working as a result of an MVA, you may lose hope and lose a sense of purpose in life.
