This is another small job where the client had a VERY small backyard with a large slope and basically zero functional/usable space before we started. With the addition of a Barkman Pisa2 retaining wall, staircase, lighting and cascade elite Bellaturf, we were able to transform his yard into almost 400 sqft of usable space.
One of my favs.... Just a simple little privacy wall and patio to provide some sitting space outfront of this client's home... Wall is Rosetta Belvedere and patio is Techo Bloc cobblestone with Barkman Roman double border.
We are not only in the business of making things look pretty, but MORE IMPORTANTLY making things functional and improving grading issues. A common problem with walkout houses, especially in Harbour Landing, are the steep side yards(frequently with a neighbours lot that is either much higher or lower than theirs) . Many people have no idea what to do to make them functional. Another huge problem is ground erosion creating a massive mess. There are proper and relatively inexpensive ways to deal with these problems. Here are some before pictures of the typical issue I'm speaking of and then pictures of a great solution.
Some beautiful pond plants in full bloom around a water wall installed in 2018.
Looking to spice your yard up, but don't want to invest the money into redoing the entire thing? Simple planting beds like these with a few perennials and a couple boulders can EASILY transform your yard in a very nonintrusive and and inexpensive way. This is artificial turf, but also goes amazing with natural grass, of course.
Considering artificial turf, but wanting a little something to spice it up? Consider this! EASY to maintain and ALWAYS popular for get togethers.
Before and after pictures of another Spring 2015 job. This backyard had very tight accessibility, but it all worked out extremely well in the end.
Some pictures from Spring 2015. This was a job from late last year that required completion of all seasonal work this year(planting).
This is a recent job that we just completed. More pictures of this yard, including front yard after pvc fence installation will be posted soon
From strict deadlines to extreme improvising, We should have made this one into a TV show. From one thing to the next, this job seemed never ending, but was completely worth it in the end.
Some samples of some recent work.
Before and After
A recent patio job from May. I don't understand why some people don't like brick patios, they look awesome!
Now is that time of year that we've all been hoping never comes, but don't forget to start thinking about blowing out your underground sprinklers. Also strongly consider a shot of winter care fertilizer come mid to late October to give your lawn an early and strong start next spring.
