The Youth Pipe and Drum band I grew up in was not only fun and enriching, but also a safe space with a strong network that opened doors to travel all across the... country and later across Scotland, as a member of the Canadian Massed Band, performing in the Edinburgh Tattoo. Now that my kids are older, I'm very excited to pick up my sticks and volunteer to share my passion for highland music and culture with my community! Good morning on this rainy daywelcome to our last two days of BOLD Summer Camp

Dear BOLD friends and family: fall is fast approaching and our immune system is cahllenged by the cold and seasonal allergies. We want to adjust and reinforce our Covid policy to keep our children and community safe. -We bought an infrared contactless thermometer to take the kids temperature before they enter the building. -We ask all parents to ensure their kids are healthy before attending any BOLD program. -The kids have to sanitize their hands before entering the buildi...ng and need to carry a small bottle of handsanitizer in their individual backpacks. -We use UV light technology additionally to sanatizing products to provide a safe space indoors. We are positive that these safety measures will further reduce risks for the families we serve.

Another interesting and adventurous day to learn about our incredible nature on Cape Breton... we love to visit Marian Whitcomb and David Hayes Quimby
