The 2014 / 2015 Badminton Season in the Atlantic has been a great success. As players, clubs and Provincial associations reflect on the past season they do so with anticipation for summer rest but also the opportunity to prepare for even greater performance in 2015 / 2016. "Announcing the Badminton Atlantic High Performance Initiative (HPI) - a collaboration of Badminton New Brunswick, Badminton Nova Scotia, Badminton PEI and Badminton Newfoundland. The Badminton Atlantic Hi...gh Performance Initiative (HPI) will collaborate with the Atlantic Badminton Provincial Sport Organizations to identify athletes interested in progressing through the Badminton Canada Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) process in particular the advanced stages of: Training to Compete Learning to Win Training to Win The objective is to support the development and competitiveness of Atlantic Badminton Athletes (Junior and Senior) in pursing success at the national and international levels. Mike Butler, National Champion and current member of Badminton Canada’s National Coaching Team has agreed to lead/support the development of the Badminton Atlantic HPI as it evolves over the coming year. Supporting Mike Butler will be Robert Proctor Director of Junior Development from Badminton Nova Scotia and Daryl Beers Badminton New Brunswick South East Regional Director The Badminton Atlantic HPI will hold its first ATHLETE IDENTIFICATION & DEVELOPMENT WEEKEND" June 5-7th 2015 in St. John NB WHEN: June 5th, 6th & 7th (Friday Evening 7PM 10PM, Saturday 8:30AM 5PM, Sunday 8:30AM 1PM) WHERE: St. John New Brunswick (UNBSJ) WHO: Junior & Senior Badminton Athletes Interested in competing at the National and International Level.
