CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! WE ARE CLOSED DECEMBER 21ST TO JANUARY 3RD. SEE YOU IN THE NEW YEAR

IMPORTANT NOTICE: A few changes from last week per the PHO and ViaSport while new guidelines are created. No adults over 18 permitted. Children's classes proceed per the guidelines already in effect at Baek's Taekwondo Academy. Specifically, the updates include:... All indoor and outdoor team sports for people 19 years of age and older are suspended. The Province's website lists a number of sports as examples, and it is important to note that this is not an exhaustive list. All team sports must follow these restrictions. Indoor and outdoor sport for people under 19 years of age can continue (see section B18 of the Order) but: Participants must maintain a physical distance of three metres from one another; Activities should be low risk of transmitting the virus (e.g. individual activities, group training that maintains physical distance); Games, tournaments and competitions for teams are not allowed.

Taekwondo BC has been in direct contact with the health minister throughout this process and as members of World Taekwondo we are a provincial, national and international registered sporting body and ViaSport. As part of this sporting body, we have approved guidelines and procedures in place to reduce the risk to our staff and members. The result of this is that we are allowed to continue to operate practices without spectators. !!!Important Message!!! Due to the significant spike in COVID-19 cases in the Chilliwack community and with the safety of our members and their families in mind, Baek's Taekwondo Academy has taken precautionary action and suspended all classes until November 9, 2020 while we monitor the situation.

In accordance with the Public Health Officer and Fraser Health Authority, Baek's Taekwondo Academy will be temporarily closed until November 23rd. Please check back for updates.

With the increase in number of COVID-19 cases of late, the return to school and associated increased risk; beginning September 1st, all members will be required to wear masks during classes. For the coming week members are encouraged to wear masks to classes with their use becoming mandatory September 1st. If you do not have a mask appropriate for athletics, you can find them at @jointforcetactical . They offer masks like the one I'm wearing as well as alternatives.... They have partnered with our Academy to offer discounts to our members. If you don't have an appropriate mask for class, we encourage you to visit them and get prepared. Thank you and stay safe!
