We are currently working on an old house downtown Kingston. Peeling the layers during demolition is fascinating! This was used a shim to level the floor. . "Drink a a cup of Good Tea. Here is a great behind the scenes shot. The clients desperately wanted ( I would argue "needed!") a kitchen island. In order to make an island fit the kitchen needed to grow by 21inches. With the brainpower of @ashleynbsdg, Concord Engineering and our elbow grease: the structural requirements are now there to get that island! I can almost see it... . #designplancreate .

We had a dual purpose end of the day visit to our brewers. . First, with @mackinnonbrewing hats stock replenished, we added to our uniforms! We were garantied a productivity increase tenfold... . Sometimes making new with old simply does not work and we have to take it all out! @frontenacplumbing, .

With window install around the corner, we are spending some extra time to prep the window openings. . We start by installing a window buck to fur the window out from the sheathing to accommodate for the outer insulation. In this case we are putting two layers of Rockwool comfortboard, hence the notably protruding buck. The R.O. is 1/2 in. bigger to accommodate a piece of beveled and rot resistant siding on the sill to create a drainage slope, à la @mike_guertin! . We are us...ing a combination of the Zip Tapes from @huberengineeredwoods.
