Congratulations to Kobe et al. on their new paper in Quaternary International on the LateglacialHolocene environments of the Upper Lena region of Eastern Siberia based on data from a sediment core from Lake Ochaul.
October's featured team member is Dr Christian Leipe (Freie Universität Berlin, Nagoya University). Dr Leipe is a post-doctoral researcher whose work helps us reconstruct environmental changes in the Baikal region during the middle & late Holocene.
This month's featured team member is Dr Peter Jordan (Lund University). Dr Jordan's work focuses on how the prehistoric hunter-gatherers from Lake Baikal saw themselves , each other and the world around them . Talk about the big picture!
We'd also like to welcome aboard DPhil candidate Corrie Hyland (University of Oxford). Corrie's work will help refine the oh-so-important freshwater reservoir corrections we rely on to accurately date our hunter-gatherers from Lake Baikal. Welcome Corrie!
