Ive been watching a few Sci-fi’s lately about uploading ones consciousness into into a program. Naturally I found this note I came across interesting! Maybe our need to be consumed by this technology is because we are so unsettled about death. Metamorphosis, transformation, death, rebirth; whatever we choose the call it definitely speaks to a changechange in the shape, texture, and form of life. But it is the process that precedes this life-altering change that dictates ho...w life will be altered. In our culture, deathin concept, in process, and in actualityis steeped in fear. We fear the completion of life, the possibility of non-being, the separation from what we believe has meaning and value. We fear the dark and not being able to see. We fear the loss of definition of who we see ourselves to be as we step into an unknown, unpredictable realm. Because of this fear, we do not live fully in the heart of hope, with joy and delightful abandon. We see life as a discreet ‘thing,’ an entity separate from a greater whole. Imagine being intrigued by the river that flows by your home. You go to its shores and collect its water in a large bucket and take it to your laboratory. You study the water with great curiosity, as you want to know everything about that water. Soon you become an expert on river water, renowned for your insights and discoveries. Then, as time passes and you continue to gather accolades, someone inquires about the river, and you are stumped, for while you knew everything about the water, now you know nothing about the river. We become so absorbed with ‘a life’so attached to livingwe fail to understand the nature of existence and the necessary partner to Death, Rebirth. When we look beyond death to rebirth we begin to understand the riverthe flow of divine energy that carries us through the eternal continuum. So the change is stepping into our fullness, and seeing life as flowing into death and beyond. Just another crossroads on the journey. - unknown See more

Gaslighting what does it look like?

This Pixar duo, has a soft spot in my boyfriend and I’s heart . We have matching grape soda pins! Ya, we’re adorable . This reminded me of something I read recently. We are drawn to make our love visible, though out of discomfort we try very hard to conceal it. And really, what does it serve to hide our love and devotion? We cover our intuition with rational explanation, diminishing it from its glory as inspiration to the status of mere thought. How does this give us what... we need? In fact, the withholding of both love and intuition can, in the long run, harm. This restraint separates us from what we long for the most, connection. We rationalize our unconscious decision, for at the time we made the choice it was for protection. But we have matured, and are more capable of being seen, of being vulnerable, more able to love and be loved. But the habit of guarding is too familiar to discard. To be open to love requires we choose to show up. It demands that we risk being hurt. Yet this is the great test of all time, will we sup at the banquet table our soul has laid for us? And, will we invite the world into our home to share our bounty of love and devotion, inspiration and intuition? See more
