Got it! I've been trying to find a recipe similar to the squares my Granny used to make. Cleaning out some cookbooks today (to make room for more of course), I found this recipe for "Maid of Honour" squares. This is it!!! Shortbread base, raspberry jam filling and almond cake on top!
