We are excited to announce that Carmen @carmagrova will be teaching an additional evening yoga class here at BALANCE. Her first series will be one you won’t want to miss. September has always brought a new year type of feeling for me. It’s a time to take a look at my life and get clear on what is required for a joyful vibrant life. Physical activity is almost always present when I do these analyses. September is the perfect blank slate of a calendar to begin to create the life you want. You can change along with the new season it brings. I would love to hear any September goals that have been on your heart.
I was planning to open in-person community classes again in March but with the quick swing from orange to red I am a bit hesitant. Online is certainly different from what we are used to but it does have some benefits (more props, yoga in your pjs, flexibility of practice time). I’m interested if anyone has any opinions and who may be interested in joining for another month online. Any feedback would be appreciated to help guide my decision. Massage with the pink thingy is one of my kids most requested treatments. They have learned from an early age the benefits that soft tissue work can have on their emotions. Several clients come in primarily for soft tissue work, specifically IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) with guasha tools. IASTM helps talk to the nervous system and can have a positive effect on pain, the lymphati...c system and circulation. Join our online movement and mindfulness group this February from the comfort of your own home. With approximately another 3 weeks under the stay at home order, our in-person community classes continue to be paused. We have decided to offer a virtual program that will guide your mind and body in cultivating wellness through this challenging time. The cost is $50 for the month and this is what you can expect each week. 1. One breath practice (10-20 minutes)... 2. A 45 minute beginner yoga practice 3. One guided meditation (10-20 minutes) This will be conducted on Facebook, through a private group. How it works: Message me or email me to let me know that you want in. Homeschooling by day, physio and yoga by night. We have added virtual yoga and virtual physiotherapy to our services. If you need exercise progressions, stretching recommendations or simply information, you can get it all from the comfort of your own home. Shoulder strength is essential for box handstands which we sometimes practice in yoga after establishing a foundation. Foundational poses include; Arm spiral Table... Community yoga classes will not yet be available as we decide how to best provide them in the current environment but you can book to learn the foundations through private yoga instruction.
