It’s time for Tuesday’s tip with head instructor, professor Matt MacDonald. The toe hold is a twisting lock that puts the ankle joint under tremendous pressure. It both extends and bends the tarsal joint in a very uncomfortable fashion. It involves grabbing the foot by the ball of the foot and the toes with a thumb-less grip, and using your other arm as a brace against the opponent’s shin, and connecting your arms by another thumb-less grip. It’s time for Tuesday’s tip with head instructor, professor Matt MacDonald. Pulling down on the head, squeezing your legs together, and pushing up with your hips make the triangle choke so compact and tight it's like a vice. ALWAYS pull down on the head if you want to finish a triangle.

"In Jiu Jitsu, side control is a dominant ground grappling position where the top combatant is lying perpendicularly over the face-up bottom combatant in such a way that the legs are free and he or she exerts no control over the combatant on the bottom."

As we continue to adapt to our current conditions we also continue to adapt and improve our online Zoom schedule. We are excited to introduce 2 new classes to our weekly online schedule. Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays for our "Jiu Jitsu Dummy" class at 5pm. Our online classes now run 5 days a week with multiple programs running daily.
The only impossible journey is the one you never begin. Jiu Jitsu teaches us to continually adapt to every situation.
