When was the last time you rode your Horse? If it’s been awhile, take it slow. Before you put your saddle on, take a good look at your horses back. Do you see any muscle atrophy? Do you notice any new bumps?... Pay attention to how your horse responds to your brushing, putting the saddle on, and tightening the cinch. Does he flinch, pin his ears? Horses are a flight animal and in the wild where only the strong survive, showing weakness is a death sentence, which means horses are experts at hiding pain until it’s intolerable. Horses don’t consciously behave badlythey react to outside stimuli, whether it’s a poor fitting saddle or an untrained rider. If Your horse is communicating with you through an unwanted behaviour don’t meet him with punishment, instead investigate the cause of his behaviourafter all, he’s trusting you with his physical and mental health! Through muscle testing, I’m able to pick up on something that is wrong, before it turns into a major issue for you or the horse! If you have a feeling something is wrong, listen it, you are likely right, even if no one else can see it!
