Lymphedema can be associated with so many other conditions. 30% of all Lymphedema cases are Primary Lymphedema, which is congenital. Secondary, or acquired, Lymphedema is often caused by cancer treatment. However, there are other causes as well. I’m so happy to say I can start treating clients again as long as they have a valid prescription/referral from their doctor or regulated health professional. This needs to have been issued within the last 12 months and a copy will need to be provided prior to your treatment. Please contact me to book your appointment. I’ve contacted everyone I had to cancel and am waiting to hear back from many. For this reason, my online booking is not available. I will reopen my online booking in the new year. I have three appointments available this upcoming week: Sunday Dec 27 at 1:30pm Monday Dec 28 at 5pm Tuesday Dec 29 at 5pm... You must have a prescription from a doctor or referral from a regulated health professional (chiro or physio) to book in. A copy of this prescription/referral will be kept on file. There are no exceptions to this. To book please contact me as online booking is currently disabled.

The Alberta government has made an amendment regarding massage therapy. People will be able to see a registered massage therapist if they have a referral from a doctor or other regulated health professional. I am still waiting for details for when this is effective and specific details regarding the prescription/referral.
