Something near and dear to our hearts in this hyper paced digital age is finding materials, objects, mediums and collaborators with substance and inherent artistry. With the launch of our luxury shawls it was only fitting to work with Andrea Wilkin(@andrea.wilkin) who is a practicing oil painter based in Montreal, Canada. With both beauty and grace on the inside and out, Andrea studied Fine Art and is currently the Art Director at The Letter Bet (@theletterbet) in Montreal. ...Some of the recognizable features and themes in Andrea’s work include figurative work of friends in modern attire or streetwear, conceptual backdrops, and display of raw human emotion, interaction and relations. One thematic thread that ties many of her works together draws from her own internalized experiences, which are then remoulded (and externalized) to offer the audience a relatable depiction of a universal human emotion or truth. Andrea spent her childhood and formative years in Brazil, Australia, and Japan, before moving to Canada as a teenager. From this, she pulls from a diverse range of observations and interactions, which she aims to translate in her work. Today, Andrea works alongside various collectives and brands, while continuing to be inspired by alternative perspectives and further expanding her own vision. Andrea has a rich body of work and has collaborated with the likes of @hypebeast @vans @saintivorynyc and more. We couldn't be more fortunate to work with Andrea on our latest collection and have her adorned with aspirational designers we revere, and our own upcycled luxury shawls made here in Montreal. Butter Toffee Shawl] Our most striking shawl, not only for it's incredible texture, but it's butter toffee colour-way. The face fabric is hairy and protective yet not itchy in the slightest keeping you comforted and warm in colder temperatures. The inside is smooth with a touch of grain for a wonderful hand-feel. This fabric has been procured from one of our oldest and most well respected fine tailoring fabric mills in Montreal, Canada. What was once an end lot, and deadstock fabric has been given new life by our Atelier and artfully crafted into this one of a kind, and exceptionally rare shawl. Finished with 3 premium up-cycled calf leather garment labels indicating place of make, source and fabric composition.

Fine tailoring fabrics, end lots, and one off custom fabric pieces that were never meant to make it out in the world, and only possibly a landfill years from now, are repurposed into our one of a kind luxurious and attainable scarves an...d shawls. Sometimes, when you just look, you can find the most rewarding solutions. Our humble creations are meant to live on you, with you and passed from generation to generation.
