We are so lucky to have such extended summer weather into September! I can't remember when we got it this good. It's the best for us Bali Bites family that we can keep BBQing and feeding our hungry little guy to be ready back to school..hahahha. Nothing like his favorites... breakfast of potatoes and fried egg with a big spoon of our vegan green chili sambal, then lunch of noodles with pork, tofu and spinach mixed with peanut sauce and sambal Bajak. Last, a dinner like... a king...a table full of all his Indonesian favs...satays, rendang, Mie goreng, Gada gado, prawn chips (krupuk), curry veal, sambal telor, fried chicken, and of course the nasi kuning( fragrant yellow rice). All served with our Bali Bites sauces on the side. So come on out to pick some sauces to celebrate back to school and enjoy the rest of summer!! Nasi goreng (Indonesian fried rice) is eaten any time of the day throughout Indonesia...my boys love it for breakfast and dinner it's a staple carb for sure! What's best is how peanut sauce and sambals can bring out this dish second coming of flavour!! Sure, the fried rice is tasty on its own, but having the yin and yang of both sauces really emphasizes why this is truly Indonesia's national dish...hey ask any Dutch person, they know our nasi goreng!!! Make any style of fried rice you like, have our sauces on the side and find out yourself if your rice sings with extra flavour!!! Bali Bites will be at West End farmer's market this Saturday Aug 8 from 9-2pm and Ladner Village Market on Sunday Aug 9 from 10-3pm. Come and get our sauces, you're in for a treat!!! See you there!!
