#throwbackthursday to our home renovation project. Looking back, we thought we would share some of the things we enjoyed about! First, we really enjoyed getting to know the neighbors, as they appreciated, and loved, that we are giving a home a renovation that was in need of some tender loving care. Second, we love the hard work put into it! There is something really satisfying about seeing something you put work into, turn into something beautiful! Third, one of the best ways... to add value to your clients when helping them buy or sell their home is to get to know houses in every possible detail. By doing a home renovation from top to bottom at the very beginning of our career, we were able to really understand the aspects of a house that we wouldn’t have thought of if we didn’t do it. SOLD in Canmore!!! - We just want to take a quick minute to talk about how important it is to work with a Realtor that best understands your situation and needs. Prior and during listing this particular property we heard many many differing opinions on what price we should list at expect to sell at due to the uniqueness and extensive amount of upgrades done in this home.... Many opinions suggested listing 20% less than what we ended up selling at because they believed that buyers won’t see value in the quality of the home. However, we knew with absolute certainty that there would be buyers out there that understood, appreciated and saw the value in this home and ultimately we were able to secure this deal at a price the sellers and buyers were both very happy with. Moral of the story: we took the time to listen to the sellers and understood that their time frame was not urgent to sell and that they would rather spend a little longertime on market waiting for that right buyer to pay a good dollar versus selling it quickly at the cost of losing out on $200,000.
