Today we are wearing orange to show our support for Orange Shirt Day. We are honoring all those whose families and communities have been affected by the traumas inflicted by Residential Schools and which we still experience today. Orange Shirt Day acknowledges the hurt experienced by Phyllis Webstad whose favorite orange shirt was stripped away from her on her first day of Residential School. #everychildmatters #orangeshirtday #dayofremembrance

September 30th is Orange Shirt Day. Don't forget to join BANAC Staff in wearing orange. The Orange Shirt Day movement has created an opportunity for Canadians to have meaningful discussions about the impacts of Residential Schools and the legacy that they have left behind. The community events were designed to commemorate the Residential School experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of r...econciliation. To learn more about this movement and its origins, visit http://www.orangeshirtday.org #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters
