As we approach the end of the year, we'd like to provide you with an update on what our Club has accomplished over the past few months. It is with great delight to let you know we've made significant strides in securing the Club's future thanks, in large part, to our members’ ongoing support and active participation in the Club’s fundraising activities. FlipGive is an app that helps organizations by offering deals with a shop and earn cashback incentive. Thank you to all ...members who have taken advantage of the deals offered by FlipGive. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for the app, we encourage you to check it out. Our "Bye to Survive" online auction was a huge success. Thanks to members and the business community who donated 120 items to the cause. A big thank you to all for your contributions! Our Club is also about community involvement. One way that the club helped out was by taking part in the annual Santa Claus parade and this year was no exception. A dozen members dressed-up and took part in a Toy Story-themed stationary float. Kids of all ages were able to enjoy ushering in the Christmas season in this socially distanced, yet happy drive-by celebration. Due to the pandemic, there’s more need among the less fortunate in our community this year. The Club will be assisting the North Hastings Community Cupboard with the preparation and storage of some of the food that will be served to those in need for Christmas dinner. We will also be providing a storage space for some non-perishable food items. We're all hoping life returns to normal in the New Year, including the return of curling in the Fall. In the meantime, we ask for your continued support of our fundraising efforts. We've made a lot of progress re-establishing the financial viability of the Club, but there's more work to do. Great support from the Bancroft curling club members on the drive through Santa Claus parade held at the arena today. Over 400 cars and at least 1000 people participated in the drive through event. Smiling faces on so many children. The event was a huge success.
