The first Nature Connects on Eagles Nest program was a great hit on Friday, Oct. 2. Participants of all ages had a great interpretive walk facilitated by nature educator, Virginia deCarle and then tried their hand at assembling bluebird houses to take home. The second program will take place this Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 am. See the poster for details and give Virginia a call if you are bringing a group as we want to be sure to adhere to COVID-19 regulations. See you soon! Eagles Nest Park is open and has something new to offer this fall, a guided nature program with local forester and nature educator, Virginia deCarle! This program has been made possible through the TD Friends of the Environment and is in collaboration with the Town and the Stewards of Bancroft Eagles Nest Park. This is a great chance to get out for a short hike, learn about trees and tree identification, learn how to be more observant in nature and do some fun hands-on activities. All ages welcome! Hello to all who love Bancroft Eagles Nest Park. As the snow and the ice are melting, people are asking if the Park is open for use. For now, because of COVID-19, the Town of Bancroft has issued the following statement - closed for now. Stay safe everyone. Keep your distance! "Playgrounds and Recreation Areas As per the Province of Ontario, playgrounds and recreation areas, including the skatepark, picnic areas and the dog park, are now closed. Please respect signage and barriers. "
