Happy Music Monday, we are happy to be partnered with multiple different organizations! One of our local friends is CRASH Rhythm! They provide great alternative introductions to music education. Crash uses rhythm and group lessons to teach the basics of music. They use bucket drumming to teach the foundations of music theory, ensemble work, improvisation and musical creativity. Have you seen the CRASH JUNKLINE? It’s a drumline but on trash cans! Check it out #bandology #musicmatters #musiceducationmatters #junkline #drumline

Happy Music Monday everyone! Did you see last week’s Music Monday with the Octobasse at the Musical Instrument Museum - MIM? We wondered what would happen if a multi-instrumentalist was left alone in this museum turns out YouTuber Joe Penna (also known as Mystery Guitar Man ) got to experience that and made a video called One man, 90 Instruments check it out: #bandology #musicmatters #musiceducationmatters #musicalinstrumentmuseum

Happy Music Monday! We are fascinated by uncommon instruments, especially instruments we don’t typically see in the band and orchestra classroom. Have you seen a double bass before? It’s the typical largest member of the bowed string instrument family. Well we have found an even LARGER instrument in this family it’s the Octobasse, and you need a ladder just to play it. Check it out! #bandology #musicmatters #musiceducationmatters #uncommoninstruments #octobasse Musical Instrument Museum - MIM
