For the past 7 years, we have managed to lead young climbers from the Kootenay/Columbia region to the tops of several of the minor peaks in the Bugaboo group, i...ncluding this July, but Bugaboo Spire has always eluded us due to poor conditions. The weather this autumn was no exception. An early snowstorm plastered all of our rock climbing objectives. Despite the marginal situation, our guides were able to take 5 of our Teen alumni on roped adventures across the Bugaboo and Vowell glaciers and to the tops of Hound’s Tooth and Eastpost Spire. Cochise Stronghold

Some fun routes on Ha Ling, Yamnuska, Nanny Goat and Mt Kidd over the past few days with a long time guest. Great September climbing conditions after the snow melted on our first day.

Just back from a great week of ski touring and ski mountaineering at the Burnie Glacier Chalet working alongside Christoph Dietzfelbinger. This place is made for skiing!!!

A similar project is going on in Glacier National Park, Canada which will be interesting to see when it is finished. Big changes over a relatively short period of time.
