Banged Hair Salon re-opening procedures, June 2nd 2020 GUESTS we have been working very hard to get our salon up and running again to a standard of safety we are happy with. Although your experience will not necessarily look the same as before, know we are trying very hard to still provide you the quality you expect from us. Please read below to prepare for what to expect when visiting us....Continue reading
As of May 19th the mandatory closure will be lifted for personal care services. We still have many procedures to put in place before opening. We as a team have decided Tuesday June 2nd will be our official re-opening date. The girls will be working hard on rebooking everyone including Tara's clients. Please be patient with us as we have had to restructure our entire business model. A few protocols you will see when you visit us, I will post a more detailed view soon. 1. Clien...ts must pass covid 19 screening. 2. Clients/staff will wear masks. 3. Payment by tap or etransfer only. 4. Waiting in vehicle and texting upon arrival. Your stylist will let you know when it is safe to enter. These are just a couple things to prepare for. We will provide proper masks for everyone, and there will be a small eco fee for every appointment of $5 added to services to help with these costs. We are extremely excited to see you back in our chairs! I know it won't feel the same, but hopefully we can all get through these tough times together and come out the other side stronger and more connected than ever. I find it interesting that some salons have an opening date because Bonnie Henry hasn't actually announced what date were allowed to open and we could have fines up to $25,000 if we open before she says. I know Phase 2 for our province is supposed to start May 19th but that doesn't necessarily mean hairdressers so we're waiting to hear back from the health authority on what we need for PPE and for Bonnie Henry to say what date were actually allowed to open. We appreciate your patience and support through these challenging times. On a bright note Rielle Lillian graced us with her presence on May 8th, weighing 6lbs 5oz. Hope this cute picture makes your roots not seem so bad!!! And hopefully we'll see you all soon.
It was a very difficult decision to make for us here at Banged, but we've decided to close our doors for a minimum of 2 weeks, hoping to reopen the first week of April. Since there is no certainty of how this all looks going forward it is hard to really calculate an opening date set in stone. We are doing everything we can to keep clients informed, and any questions or concerns can be directed to [email protected], our Facebook page or direct message here on IG. I also... welcome you to text my personal cell phone at 250.714.8369. If you have an appointment booked in the next 2 weeks we will be contacting you personally to reschedule as best we can. If you are in need of any product we will be accepting e-transfers and be delivering free of charge throughout the city. We will also be keeping our social media updated regularly. Here at Banged Hair Salon we are grateful to be a part of a movement that is encouraging people to help keep our community healthy and safe. See more
Dear Kennedy Stewart, Adrian Dix, John Horgan & Justin Trudeau, Thank you for updating Canadian citizens yesterday COVID 19, but your message was not enough. ...Your suggestions of social distancing and strongly encouraging Canadians to self isolate left small business owners in service industries with unanswered questions and the inability to decide what it is we should do next. We elected you to lead. Can you please do that and formally announce that businesses like my hair salons should temporarily close to help alleviate the likelihood of the spread of COVID 19. Your irresolute direction given at yesterday’s press conferences only increased our client’s fears and created an uncertainty amongst our employees. It also left me wondering when our leaders are actually going to give a direction that is fair for all small business service industries, so we can plan to take the hit for a temporary duration, rather than wondering when the mandated shut down will be coming and potentially ruin us for good? The truth of the matter is, our industry (as with massage therapists, aesthetics providers, spas, chiropractors and physio therapists) are unable to abide my your 1 meter rule, as we are in the business of client care and that client care always involves being in contact with the general public. This creates a tension between us and the client, the client and the business, the business and the community. We run the risk of harming our reputation if we choose to stay open, as well as risk losing our livelihood when we choose to close. No one is responsible for this unforeseen epidemic, but you are responsible for us. We need you to order a mandatory shut down in order for our employees in small businesses (which makes up 70% of Canada’s employed persons) to know that they will be granted EI while they are unable to go to work. Your promises of compensation and assistance all sound fine and good until the EI office denies someone who works for us the compensation they deserve due to a technicality of our industry not being mandated to close officially. How do you expect me to confidently lead and protect my employees if you cannot do the same? Dispiritedly, Tanya D Sullivan
Covid-19 update For now salons have not been mandated to close its doors. It has been recommended by our government to keep a 1 meter distance from eachother. In our industry this is impossible. Without government support our stylists cannot collect ei, and since we are a very small business this could be detrimental to us. We will remain open to already booked appointments, but if you are uncomfortable keeping yours we will gladly rebook it for you at a later date with no ca...ncellation fees. Along with the measures we are already taking to keep the salon clean and safe we will also be spacing stylists and appointments out further so less people are in the salon at the same time. We are trying to limit contact as much as we can in a touching service. We also politely ask you wash your hands when entering the salon. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call the salon at 778.441.4744 or email us at [email protected]. We appreciate all of your support here at Banged! . . . Please see "safety first" highlights to see what we are already doing to help keep our community safe. See more
I've know @therobina over 15 years. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She is such a gift to whoever gets to be in her life, and she makes a mean butter chicken. The next few paragraphs are a little bit about her story. Please share the message. . . .... Robina "In my 35 years of life, I have been through a lot of difficult and hard times but the hardest thing I ever had to do was tell my parents and brother that I am dying. And now I’m sharing it with you. I have ESRD - end stage renal disease. I am in a rapid declining state of kidney failure and need dialysis and a kidney transplant to live. If you or someone you know would like to get tested to be a living donor for me, please text or call me at 250-618-3658. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who has loved, cared for and supported me through my last couple of years of difficult health and who continue to support me in my battle.
