We are sorry to let you know that we are cancelling the Banook Christmas tree lot and sales this year. With the changes to Halifax area COVID-19 restrictions yesterday, we simply do not know what things will look like by Dec. 11 and so with great disappointment we decided to cancelled our tree lot for this year. We are very sad... the tree lot is part of Christmas for us. ... Hopefully next year we will be back! Thank you for your understanding.

As per the announcement today (November 24, 2020) by Dr. Strang and Premier McNeil and advised by ADCKC, effective end of day Wednesday, November 25, Banook Canoe Club will be closed for a period of at least 2 weeks. All ADCKC clubs in HRM are following this same protocol. There will be no training at our facility for members/athletes on Thursday, November 26. We will communicate again when we have clarity as to a reopening date. This suspension of training activities include...s but is not limited to our high-performance athletes, coaches, Masters, bridge and development athletes, and all other members who use our facility. Also, the Zatzman Sportsplex is closed, so swimming on Monday mornings for our high-performance athletes is also cancelled until further notice. Further to this, we are cancelling all fitness bookings in our facility for a period of at least 2 weeks. This includes Dragonboat practices, fitness classes, yoga classes and self-defense classes. Please be advised that Banook will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday November 11. There will be no training or programming. Lest We Forget

Banook will be closed Monday, October 12. It is a day off for athletes and staff. There will be no programming on this date. It will also be a day off for volunteers. Emails to the Banook office will not be monitored over the weekend. We hope you have an opportunity to enjoy the long weekend and we wish all Banook families a very Happy Thanksgiving.
