We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support we have received in the last few days. It’s clear you have our back and we love you for it . We...’d also like to clarify a few things. The purpose of making this public and starting the petition is not about bureaucratic semantics of whether we should be allowed to deliver food or not. It’s purpose was to highlight an instance in which we felt the Police de la Moralité misused their authority by shutting down a safe and beneficial food service provided by small business owners trying to make ends meet. It is common knowledge that our industry has found itself in dire circumstances. At a time like this we would expect the government to encourage small businesses, not allocate resources to penalize them. We felt it necessary to speak out about this and for those of you who share our perspective, again, we thank you! Finally, we don’t want this to be misconstrued as a reflection on local police. We know the police are on the front lines serving our community and keeping us safe. We thank them for their effort and sacrifice. We’re working on some stuff to raise money for people in need. Spent an amazing morning with Christian Barthomeuf, the passionate producer of Clos Saragnat. He explained to us just how essential biodiversity amongst his app...le trees, wild growth, mature forests and most importantly his chickens are in achieving organic certified heirloom apples for the production of his Cidre. These pears will be harvested in 2 weeks and we'll have some of Quebec's only Pear Cidre this spring. Can't wait! Ps. He assured us that he never eats his employees. This giant of a rooster has been protecting his hens for 7 years!
