Here's the seventh and final painting of the seven day art challenge - Off to Work, 16 x 12", acrylic on canvas, 2019. Thank you Teresa McCallum for nominating me! It was great fun to revisit these works.

I have been nominated by artist Teresa McCallum to take part in an art challenge to post an image of one of my paintings each day for seven days. Thank you for thinking of me, Teresa - here's the first image, Woman as Vessel, acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, 36 x 30", from 2007.

Currently on my easel - although not a depiction of the yurts of Rockwater Secret Cove Resort, this work-in-progress is definitely inspired by them.

The 7th Annual North Delta Studio Stomp is less than a week away! Mark your calendars for Saturday & Sunday, September 21 & 22, 10 am to 4 pm each day. My studio is one of 8 locations you can visit next weekend to see North Delta artists and their works - come visit me at 6599 Knight Drive.

During the month of September, works by participating Delta Studio Stomp artists will be featured in North Delta's George Mackie Library. On Friday, September 13th, between 2 and 4 p.m., you are invited to come meet the artists, have a chat, and enjoy their works. Hope to see you there! Tea, coffee and cookies will be served.

Merry Lighthouse was also juried into the Federation of Canadian Artists 2019 Salon show. If you're on Granville Island during the next couple of weeks, check out the show at the Federation art gallery (August 5 - 18).

"Cormorants in the Cove" is one of two of my works juried into the Federation of Canadian Artists 2019 Salon show at the Federation art gallery on Granville Island, August 5 - 18.

This Thursday is the opening reception of South Delta Artists Guild's 16th annual Oil & Water juried exhibition. Come join in the fun at Gallery 1710, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., 1710 - 56th Street, South Delta.

"Prawn Season" and "Merry Lighthouse" have been juried into Oil & Water, an annual show sponsored by the South Delta Artists Guild. There were nearly 300 entries this year, so I am very pleased to have had both works chosen. Opening reception is 6:30 p.m., Thursday May 30, at Gallery 1710, located at 1710 - 56th Street (18 Ave), South Delta. The show runs until Saturday, June 22.

Last of the Winter Berries has a new home after being sold out of Watershed Artworks Gallery this morning.
