Did you know that scary news is harmful for your health? How often are you watching the news? How much of that news is negative and gives you heightened feelings of anxiety when it comes to your health? Over the past two years it has been important to be informed of health related news for obvious reasons. However, it’s important to note that many stories that make it to your news feed are often dramatized, over reported or simply click bait which can have negative effects ...on your mental health. Studies have shown that dramatic and scary news reports can encourage people to experience unnecessary worry, catastrophize many situations, and misinform you if all details aren’t provided. Be aware of how much health related news you consume and if you do have worries or questions always speak to your health care provider before trying to self diagnose.

If you have ever felt like you had to exercise to allow yourself a "treat"... think again. Having a healthy relationship with food and exercise is important for optimizing both mental health and physical health. https://www.fasterwaytofatloss.com//stop-exercising-to-e/

What is something every human being wants? To be heard. We all want to be heard.... We all want space to have someone hear what we have to say, without advice, without their story, and with concern, care and compassion. If we could all begin to do this, we could all begin to heal. What a beautiful and timely reminder @sarahfreemancoaching

Sobriety, addiction, and stress are difficult bed mates. The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to ou...r lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression. Crisis service Canada has a 24 hour helpline: 833-456-4566. copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide? See more

Very interesting article about why some people are able to recover easily and others aren't. Looking at the T cell response rather than the antibody response.

Our kids need to get back to school without restrictions. Please see here to read and endorse the letter and next steps. In particular, look out for a socia...l media campaign that you can help us share. Please also share this letter to collect endorsements, and if you are able to connect us with other professional associations who have aligned views, we would appreciate you doing so! https://www.nestnds.com/liftrestrictions

Thank you to everyone who has been reading my posts and contributing to this important discourse. And thank you to everyone who has sent me information or r...esearch to share. I love my tribe and feel very fortunate to be in contact with so many friends, colleagues and family members. Especially during this difficult time of social distancing. As the Province makes plans to open up, I am encouraging everyone I love and care about to book an appointment with their Medical Doctor to get their vitamin D tested. The research is OVERWHELMING that low vitamin D is a significant risk factor for COVID severity. I believe that sharing this information will help keep our communities safer as we emerge (hopefully) from quarantine. Big hugs to all of you and your families
