Happy #BorderMakerMonday ! Hi I'm Krista French with Creative Memories with Krista and I'm please to share with you my border idea using the arch border frame ...punch the Hello Autumn collection. I used navy cardstock for the base of the border and the tone on tone from the hello autumn collection for layering . I punched the arch border along the cardstock, then at 2 1/2 inches used the deckle blade to cut off the remaining. Still using the deckle blade cut a 1 inch strip and a 1/2 inch and flipped the 1/2 strip over for layering . Using the hello autumn embellishments, I placed a leaf at each arch, arranging them to weave in out of the arch. For the title I used navy cardstock for the base and cut a 2 inch strip, punched an arch at the end. Then using the trimmer cutting a length at 5 1/4 and then punching the other arch. I finished off the layout matting the photo with the tone on tone paper and using more of the leaf embellishments and creating clusters about the page. I... loved the lines and wood texture and thought that would make a fantastic title or signature scrapbook page. I used Creative Memories Graceful Theme Pack which contains a lovely wood paper that gave me that rustic feel I was after. Please click through the photos for directions. Creative Memories Supplies: Apple Chain BMC Simple Leaf BMC Gemstone CCS Ovals CCS Alphabet Stamp Set Micro Scissors 12" Trimmer Hello Autumn Collection Foam Squares Instructions: 1) Use the small Heart Gemstone CCS Pattern and cut a heart from Crimson Cardstock 2) Use the smallest Oval CCS Pattern and trim the bottom of the heart to create and apple 3) Ink the edges of the apple base 4) Use the Simple Leaf BMC and cut two shades of green paper from the Hello Autumn Paper 5) Use the Apple Chain BMC and cut an apple border 6) Use the Micro Scissors to cut a few leaves from the Simple Leaf Border, Use the ink pad from the Alphabet Stamp Set to 'ink' the edges of the leaves to make them 'pop' 7) Use the 12" Trimmer and specialty blade of choice to create a border 1.5" wide from the light blue paper 8) To create the base of the layout cut a 11" x 11" square from the yellow Hello Autumn Paper, cut a 10.5" x 10.5" square from the leaf paper, center and layer on Crimson Cardstock. 9) To create the border, layer the blue 1.5" strip, the remaining two Simple Leaf borders, trim and use Foam Squares to pop up the apple chain and the Apple. 10) Use the Alphabet Stamp Set to create a title and mat with Crimson Cardstock. 11) Use the Yellow Paper to create two 6.25" x 4.25" photo mats. Ink the edges. 12) Add stickers and embellishments as desired. Can you imagine your autumn photos on a layout like this? Happy Scrapbooking!
