there’s magic in the forest. such a great visit + lovely twilight session with this beautiful lady! I can’t wait for our next adventure.
I love photographing kids in their element. they’re so candid in their expressions, their movements. they’re still in a phase of their lives where they can just be 100% themselves. I think about this often, and I really think we should take a lesson from their unapologetic nature. we become so caught up in what our hair looks like, if we’re wearing the right clothes, if our smiles are bright enough I can’t tell you how many people I work with who are uncertain about their... appearance, their expressions + movement. and I totally get it. I feel exactly the same when I have a camera pointed at me! but I’m here to say that your uncertainty is unnecessary. that your true self is just as magnificent + candid as what you see in your children. so let go of those ropes that hold you in a place of insecurities + self-doubt. be unapologetically you. forget about the camera + smile your biggest smile because you’re surrounded by those you love most, and nothing else should matter! you are beautiful.
thankful for what I do. for being trusted with people’s most tender, smiling moments. for the ability to make images of the people I love, whilst meeting new folks along the way. ... for living in this spectacular place, filled with such beautiful, vibrant souls. happy thanksgiving. what’re you thankful for?
The most bone chilling boudoir session I’ve seen in a long time.
Letterkenny Road. A stunning sight.
So much love in this little family. I worked with Sky + Addison on their 10th anniversary back in the fall of 2018. These two wonderful humans tried for many years before they got their River Zen - and I was honestly trying not to cry over seeing the joy in their faces, as they held their tiny miracle. River is literally the happiest baby I’ve ever met. The perfect little gem for these sweet, loving parents.... Thank you both so much for choosing me to take your first family pictures. It was truly an honour.
Book your fall session while the colours are in full bloom!
Photographing people like Virginia is why I love my job so much. Everyone is naturally beautiful, in their own way. I can't tell you how often I come across people who have so much joy + charisma within them, but are still terrified in front of the camera. Virginia was one of many - she was a little nervous at first. And most people are. It's completely normal to feel weird with a camera in your face, but I'm here to tell you that your natural smile is better than your pose...d one. Your natural movements + gestures are far more *you* than any of the poses you've seen in the magazines. You are, sincerely, without a doubt, beautiful.
These are the days I cherish most.
