Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure.... Gently apply the post-care brow balm provided 2 times a day. This can be done once in the morning and once at night time, but be sure to use the ointment sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself. Please continue to apply the balm for 7 days. Retinol is often praised as the holy grail of skincare products. They encourage a faster cell turnover, help to exfoliate the skin and decrease excess oil production. Retinoids are known for improving everything from acne to hyperpigmentation, even improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Often what people are NOT aware of, is the period of transition your skin will typically go through, before you can truly experience the benefits for your skin. For the first f...ew weeks (sometimes longer depending on your skin), you may experience redness, sensitivity, peeling, itching and extreme dryness - sounds awesome, right? This is classified as ‘Retinization’, the temporary period of time where your skin is adjusting to the product. It takes time and patience when using a retinol. It often is best to slowly I corporate into your skincare routine, rather than using it nightly. Tips for Beginners with Reintol: Start out Slow. Once or twice a week in the beginning, working into a tolerance for daily use. Slow incorporation will prevent shocking your skin or potentially traumatizing the skin barrier. Prepare Your Skin with a Moisturizer. Using a moisturizer will increase barrier function - meaning, it will be more protected. Use a medical grade moisturizer both morning and night to ensure that your skin is completely protected. Many people apply a hydrating moisturizer right before layering a very thin layer of retinol over top (try to use a moisturizer with hylauronic acid, antioxidants and ceramides for best results). Nighttime Use Only. This is a product that will cause sun sensitivity so should always be applied at bedtime. Be Aware of Possible Product Swap-Outs. If your skin becomes sensitive as a result of retinol use, it might be wise to switch to a gentle cleanser, possibly even a cream cleanser for the retinization period. Ditch the exfoliating scrubs, peels masks, etc. Retinols will exfoliate your skin, so don’t overdo the exfoliation. SPF: Every day, all day. Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring. Period. Even on rainy and cloudy days. SPF protects from sun damage, but will be your saving grace when using a Retinol.

Lip Blushing Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips and giving definition and the illusion of fullness. What Sunscreen Should I use on my kids? This is a question I get asked on the regular! I use the same sun protection on my kids that I do on myself! Some people question whether medical-grade products are safe, or even over-the-top to use on our children. Absolutely not! It is SO important to protect their little faces and bodies from the harmful UVA/UVB rays, just as we protect ours! ... Both of my girls are outside and in the pool all day, ALL summer and my youngest (4 years old) has super sensitive skin. I can honestly say that her skin does SO well with the SPF products I use! At Bare, we have so many options for SPF products that are safe for all ages, all skin types (even the most sensitive skin), non-comedogenic (wont irritate or make you break out), non-greasy (wont feel sticky), tinted, non-tinted AND chemical free! I even use our SPF lip protection on my little gals and they LOVE it, because it tastes delish! Many people try to fix what they believe is problematic skin, when they dont actually have problematic skin in the first place! Nobody has perfect skin. Period. Doing too much to your skin can actually cause many more issues down the line. Picking, squeezing and popping, can all cause scarring. Lets Talk Chemical vs. Physical Sunscreen - Why a Physical Block is Always Best Chemical sunscreens (which are those typically found in drug stores, grocery stores and over the counter) absorb into the skin and then absorb UV rays, converting those rays into heat, and releasing them from the body. This means that your body is still absorbing harmful rays and not completely protected from the sun. Physical sunblocks, which are typically those found in-clinic, sit on top ...of the skin and reflect the suns rays. There is NO absorption of UV rays, meaning the harmful rays essentially bounce right off of the skin (as they are physically blocked).
