New to sugaring? Do Let your hair grow for a minimum of 4 weeks. Shaving/hair removal creams create multiple growth patterns so it is very important to let your hair grow for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your first treatment; otherwise you will not be happy with the results, you will experience more discomfort and unnecessary irritation. After your first treatment you may have an undergrowth that will grow out very quickly, leaving the skin prickly. The undergrowth is pa...rt of the multiple growth patterns which should disappear after a couple of sugaring appointments. Gently exfoliate the skin 2x a week maximum. Moisturize the skin daily with a natural moisturizer like coconut oil. Don’t Shave or use hair removal creams in between appointments, it will make the undergrowth worse. Exfoliate more than 2x a week, your skin doesn’t need it and it can actually cause ingrown hairs. Use petroleum based moisturizers, they can clog pores, cause irritation and ingrown hairs.
