Video Conferencing Lessons work !! This is Xena - a lovely German Shepherd pup - who needed to get started on her training and yet no where to go. We did a couple of video sessions where she learned to let her owners go through doorways first, to walk better, and in general to behave better - next step is to not be so reactive to other dogs on a walk - but we are getting there !! "You are what you eat" and this applies to your dog as well - want a healthy dog? Make sure you are feeding healthy food.

Dogs love to chew - and it is actually a way of self soothing - so make sure your dog has something he likes to chew on BUT NOT RAWHIDE!

What a happy puppy ! Aptly named "Joy" Her parents contacted me when she was a very tiny puppy - just to make sure they were "doing things rights". Sounds like they have done a great job so far......... and she is becoming a "great dog"

It is awesome that so many rescue agencies are seeing all their animals being adopted - but I sincerely hope that it is because people realize they have the time RIGHT NOW to work on a dog's training so that their dog will be ready when they go back to work. Otherwise - these dogs - who think that their "new pack" is together 100% of the time will be in for a HUGE amount of trauma when their owners go back to work 5 days a week.
